MIDLAND, Texas — Natural Gas Services Group, Inc., hosted an open house at its new headquarters in Midland to officially welcome the public, clients, and friends to its new home in West Texas.

This new 45,000 GSF office building, designed by Parkhill, is the new corporate headquarters for the Midland-based energy company. It provides a much-needed upgrade facility for its staff and has room for rental spaces on two levels, as well.

“We’re a West Texas group, and we wanted the building to reflect that,” said Steve Taylor, CEO of NGSG. “Everything worked out great. The furnishings fit in well with the Earth tones, and all the natural pieces of it are what really brings it out.”

The public entry is accented with locally sourced native Texas limestone. The building is designed with attention to energy conservation, including high-performance glass, solar sun shades to cut glare and heat gain, as well as landscape design that utilizes native plantings for water conservation, complementing building amenities like an outdoor terrace for employee and client gatherings. Even the art pieces along the walls reflect West Texas and the Big Bend area.

Alyssa Vance, interior designer on the project, enjoyed her time working with NGSG on the new building and how great it was to collaborate with an owner who deeply cares about the look and feel of a project of this nature.

“They wanted their building the design to succeed from the very beginning,” she said. “They were part of every step — from the first finishes to the implementation and all the way to the furniture. And as you can see, I think we succeeded.”
