ULI Austin Appoints Julio Carrillo as the New Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee Steering Chair cover image

Julio Carrillo, AICP, Parkhill Senior Planner and Manager with Parkhill’s Landscape Architecture & Planning Practice, is the Austin Chapter of Urban Land Institute’s newest Management Committee Member. Joining as the new DEI Steering Committee Chair, Julio will shape the committee’s unique dual role within ULI Austin as a resource in bringing equity, diversity, and inclusion to the work of the District Council Leadership. He will also serve as a catalyst for change in the real estate industry and fulfilling the mission of the Urban Land Institute to shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide.

Julio Carrillo

Julio Carrillo, AICP, LEED AP ND is a Senior Planning and Manager. Julio joined Parkhill in March 2020 and brings more than 16 years of expertise in diverse areas with a strong focus on sustainability and architecture. As a Certified Planner, he has worked in various large-scale masterplans for mixed-use communities with a sustainable approach. Julio is originally from Peru and grew up in one of the most contaminated cities in the world: La Oroya. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in supporting sustainable practices in planning and urban design in all his projects' interventions.
