Midland International Air & Space Port Aircraft Ramp Lighting System
Midland International Air & Space Port (MAF) faces an influx of aircraft activity on its north and south ramps, leading to heightened safety concerns due to inadequate lighting. With increased risk of injury and damage at night, MAF knew something had to change. Enter new LED lighting systems—installed to replace outdated fixtures and transform ramp safety.

Bright Solutions
Four new light poles were added, featuring advanced LED fixtures designed to illuminate areas that were previously left in shadow. High-mast poles at the Terminal Building now shine with 65,400-lumen fixtures, while the north and south ramps benefit from 38,600-lumen fixtures, providing a bright white light compared to the old yellowish hue.
Shedding Light on Efficiency
The project didn’t stop at installation. PSC worked closely with airport staff to adjust the light aiming angles, ensuring maximum coverage while avoiding glare for pilots. The result? Airline ramp employees now work in safer, well-lit conditions, reducing the risk of accidents.
Illuminating the Future
MAF couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Not only has safety improved, but the new LED lights offer long-lasting durability, reducing the need for frequent replacements. By embracing this modern lighting solution, Midland International Air & Space Port has illuminated a safer, more efficient future for both its aircraft and employees.
