Borger SH 136 Utility Extension

Infrastructure Designed to Accommodate Future Expansion

The City of Borger has partnered with Parkhill to extend water and wastewater utilities along SH 136, creating opportunities for new commercial development. The project includes 1,500 feet of water line, 500 feet of gravity wastewater line, 1,500 feet of force main, and a wastewater lift station.

Laying the Groundwork

Parkhill’s topographic surveying and engineering services ensure that the design accommodates not just immediate needs but also the full build-out of the land tract slated for future development. To streamline the process, Parkhill used drone technology for topographic surveys, reducing time and costs while gathering precise elevation data.

Smart Planning

The expansion also focuses on security, adding space for three full-size screening lanes to streamline the checkpoint process. Escalators will be replaced, potentially with elevators for improved accessibility.

Engineering efforts covered civil and electrical design for the entire system, with additional depth in the lift station and wastewater collection system to support future growth. The project also includes water line looping, pressure-reducing facilities, and careful alignment to fit within future roadway rights-of-way.

Efficiency in Action

Borger is laying the foundation for both immediate and long-term development, ensuring the city is ready for future growth.
