Parkhill’s Sara Gimbel Earns LEED Green Associate Credential Under LEED v5

Sara Gimbel, a design professional in Parkhill’s Lubbock office, recently earned her LEED Green Associate credential, successfully completing the new LEED v5 exam during its beta phase.

LEED v5 is the latest version of the U.S. Green Building Council’s green building standard. As new versions of LEED are introduced, credential exams are updated to align with the latest standards and practices in green building.

Sara completed the LEED Green Associate exam while the LEED v5 version is still in beta testing. During this period, candidates take the new exam before its official release, while Green Business Certification Inc. evaluates the new questions and uses testing data to establish the passing score for the final exam.

“I have a goal, when designing, to do as much as I can to create a space that is not only healthy for the environment but for its occupants,” Sara says. “I think this was really one of my first steps in the professional world learning how much of a positive or negative impact buildings can have on their occupants.“

Earning the credential demonstrates Sara’s knowledge of LEED principles, green building practices, and the evolving standards shaping sustainable design. Her continued growth strengthens Parkhill’s ability to create thoughtful, responsible spaces that serve people and advance our mission of building community.
