Amarillo-Polk St. Streetscape Improvement
In 2021, the City of Amarillo partnered with Parkhill to launch the Polk Street Streetscape Improvements project, aiming to breathe new life into one of the city’s key corridors.
Engaging the Community
Phase 1 focused on extensive public engagement, with Parkhill hosting numerous meetings to answer questions, gather input, and address concerns from stakeholders. Acting as a liaison, Parkhill attended local committee meetings, ensuring the project aligned with the community’s vision and needs while staying within budget.
Laying the Foundation for Transformation
Through these collaborative efforts, a well-defined scope emerged, reflecting the aspirations of both the city and its residents. As Phase 1 nears completion, the groundwork laid by Parkhill is paving the way for Phase 2, which will involve full design implementation. This project marks a significant step toward transforming Polk Street into a vibrant, inviting space that fosters community interaction and supports Amarillo’s growth and revitalization efforts.
