Arlington Fire Station No. 8

A Modern Replacement Designed to Protect Those Who Protect Arlington

Arlington Fire Station No. 8 stands as a modern replacement for a facility that faithfully served the community since 1978. Designed by Parkhill, the new 12,400-square-foot, two-story station transforms a constrained site into a highly efficient hub for emergency response.

Rising to Serve, Built for Speed

Built to house 12 firefighters and 3.5 apparatus bays, the $13.9 million facility ensures crews are equipped and ready when every second counts.
To support faster and safer response times, the department selected a slide between floors instead of a traditional fire pole — providing secure, rapid access from living quarters to the apparatus bays.

Modern Station, Mission Ready

The station features pull-through drive bays, secure parking, updated dorm rooms, a kitchen and day room, and even a second-floor patio that offers firefighters a place to recharge between calls. This thoughtfully designed facility is more than brick and mortar—it is a commitment to Arlington’s safety, resilience, and future.
