Borger ISD High School Renovations
As part of the 2017 school bond, Borger ISD set out to reimagine its high school campus — not just with updates, but with a renewed vision for how students learn, gather, and grow. The result is a thoughtful blend of modernization and functionality that supports both academic and campus life.

Upgrades Inside and Out
The campus underwent substantial interior renovations, with refreshed corridors, classrooms, and restrooms. Each classroom now features new finishes, teacher storage, and integrated technology. Site improvements addressed parking flow, drop-off areas, and created safer, more welcoming access points with new sidewalks, retaining walls, and landscaping—transforming the courtyard into a collaborative gathering space. A major highlight of the renovation is the conversion of the old gym into a dedicated 9th Grade Center.
Security and Student-Centered Design
This new space includes eight classrooms, two science lab/classrooms, a health science room, restrooms, and a teacher workroom — creating a supportive environment for students transitioning into high school. The administration area was reconfigured to create a secure, visible main entry and updated workspaces for staff. The nurse’s area was repurposed into much-needed cafeteria restrooms, and the library was refreshed to encourage collaboration, with flexible teaching spaces and private offices.
