Mercedes-Benz of Lubbock, a project for Cavender Auto Family, posed a unique challenge—delivering a full luxury automotive experience within a compact space. Working closely with the owner and contractor, the design team successfully crafted an upscale environment, integrating the brand’s largest display furniture and hospitality equipment within the existing footprint.
Blending Openness and Privacy
By selectively gutting and retaining elements, they balanced cost efficiency with high-end finishes. The showroom and consulting spaces are distinct, using glass partitions to maintain a sense of openness while ensuring privacy for intimate consultations. Translucent film allows light to pass through, enhancing the feeling of space. Generous storefront windows provide natural lighting by day and a showcase for the lighting design after dark, offering a dynamic display.
Seamless Service
With separate areas for service writing and showroom displays, the design allows seamless transitions between service and sales. A luxurious customer lounge near the service desk ensures a comfortable, premium experience for customers as their transactions and services are handled efficiently.
