City of Graham
The City of Graham relies on a single transmission line from its treatment plant at Lake Graham, installed in the late 1970s. Due to increasing maintenance needs, Parkhill conducted a feasibility study to assess the conditions for a secondary transmission pipeline. This new line aims to reduce operational stress, provide redundancy, and allow for essential repairs without disrupting water service.

Designing and Securing New Infrastructure
Parkhill’s project team, including in-house survey and right-of-way experts, secured easements and state approvals while designing over three miles of 20-inch pipeline. The plan also utilized existing 10-inch piping stored by the City to run parallel to the old main, offering greater operational flexibility.
Upgrading Storage for Improved Distribution
A new elevated storage reservoir is also planned, serving as a primary distribution site for a large residential area atop an escarpment. These improvements aim to strengthen Graham’s water infrastructure, with construction scheduled for completion in late 2023.
