City of Lubbock Police Headquarters
The City of Lubbock selected a site for its new centralized Police Headquarters located just one block south of the recently completed Citizens Tower. This 52,000-square-foot facility supports the Lubbock Police Department’s shift towards a decentralized operation, with three additional substations strategically placed throughout the city.

A Central Hub for Key Police Divisions and Support Services
The Headquarters hosts key personnel from the patrol and motors divisions, the Records Department, and various investigative units such as major crimes, ICAC, and property. It also serves as the base for community outreach, internal affairs, logistics, legal counsel, administration, and communications staff.
Supporting Public Safety and Community Engagement
The facility enhances collaboration between the Police Department and the City of Lubbock Fire Marshal’s Office by co-locating their operations, fostering better communication during investigations. Additional amenities like multi-purpose meeting spaces, collaboration rooms, break areas, and a fitness center promote the well-being of officers, encouraging strong mental and physical health.

A Unified Vision for Downtown Architecture
The design of the new headquarters complements existing structures, such as the adjacent Citizens Tower and LP&L utilities building, creating a cohesive municipal campus. It incorporates materials and architectural elements that resonate with the historic downtown aesthetic. Site design and landscaping adhere to downtown development standards, ensuring that the headquarters not only serves its functional purpose but also contributes to the ongoing revitalization and visual identity of Lubbock’s core.
