Frank Kent’s Dream Park Redefines Inclusive Play in Fort Worth

Parkhill partnered with Dream Park Fort Worth to design Frank Kent’s Dream Park, a 1.3-acre inclusive playground that goes beyond ADA compliance. Serving over 200,000 people with disabilities in Tarrant County, this playground ensures every child and guardian can enjoy playing together.

Fun for Every Ability

The park features rubber surfaces for easy wheelchair access, swings with back support for children with low muscle tone, and a roller slide for deep-muscle stimulation. Cozy Domes provide quiet spaces for sensory processing needs, while a We-saw seesaw and a dual-bay ZipKrooz™ zipline accommodate children with varying abilities.

Accessible and Sensory-Rich Environment

The park’s design includes handicap-accessible parking, extra-wide sidewalks, and a sensory-rich environment with musical elements and parallel play opportunities. Features like the Sway Fun glider, which holds two wheelchairs, allow children with disabilities to experience the joy of play alongside their peers. Frank Kent’s Dream Park is more than a playground; it’s a place where all community members can connect and grow together.
