Fort Worth ISD Southwest HS Additions and Renovations

Transforming Spaces for Modern Learning

Renovating an occupied high school campus demands precision, collaboration, and vision. The comprehensive renovation and expansion of Southwest High School focused on modernizing both aesthetics and academics. With a goal of creating transformative spaces, the project emphasized enhancements to Tier 1 and Tier 2 CTE programs and expanded the administration and campus entrance, shaping a future-ready environment for students and staff.

Collaboration and Clear Communication

Achieving this vision required a tight partnership between the program manager, the district, and the design team. A non-negotiable critical work path and phasing plan were implemented to ensure smooth progress despite the complexity of working on an active campus. Detailed documentation and clear communication helped navigate these challenges, keeping all stakeholders aligned and informed throughout the process.

Minimizing Disruption, Maximizing Impact

Respect for instructional time was paramount, with every effort made to minimize disruptions. This commitment, coupled with alignment to the district’s mission to prepare students for college, career, and leadership, defined the project’s ultimate success
