Lubbock-Cooper ISD Middle School
LCISD’s new middle school replaces its 1970s predecessor with a forward-thinking design that prioritizes security, collaboration, and literacy. The building is divided into two halves by a central common space, with academics and food services in the east, and athletics, fine arts, and administration in the west. Teacher collaboration suites with glass walls allow staff to monitor students while fostering openness.

Engages and Inspires
At the heart of the school is a two-story library, strategically positioned to separate academic neighborhoods and reduce hallway congestion. The library’s full-height glass walls create seamless connections between interior and exterior learning spaces, embodying the school’s mission to engage middle school students through a literacy-focused, future-ready environment.
