Woodland Park
Since 2002, Parkhill has been a key partner to Mark Payne Homes, Midland’s most active developer. Together, they’ve developed over 215 acres and master-planned another 400 acres across Midland. Through various partnerships, Mark Payne Homes buys and develops land, creating thriving residential and commercial spaces complete with parks, lakes, and amenities that enhance quality of life.

Building More Than Homes
Parkhill represents the interests of Mark and his partners exclusively, handling everything from master planning to zoning changes, floodplain submissions, public infrastructure design, and construction administration. This collaboration has led to the successful completion of 10 major development projects, with many more on the horizon.
Flood Control to Beauty
One highlight is the master-planned community in northern Midland, anchored by “Woodland Park” and its two-tiered ponds. These privately operated ponds, designed for both flood control and beauty, evoke an East Texas atmosphere right in the desert. A jogging trail circles the 12-acre park, while homes are thoughtfully placed in three tiered sections to accommodate different sizes.

Looking Ahead
Looking to the future, Mark Payne Homes and Parkhill are planning mixed-use developments in Northeast Midland, including workforce housing, commercial offices, and a retail center overlooking an expanded playa lake, further shaping the city’s growth and community offerings.
