Potter County Well Field
The Potter County Well Field was master planned to meet both current and future water demands, with an initial capacity of 20 million gallons per day (mgd) and an ultimate goal of 40 mgd. This robust design accounts for operational flexibility, allowing 10% of wells to be offline while maintaining full capacity. The project’s scope included 21 production wells, extensive pipelines, a pump station, well head improvements, and a sophisticated SCADA system for precise monitoring.

Seamless Integration for Enhanced Efficiency
A critical element of the project was the integration of 21.5 miles of transmission pipeline, including connections with the Carson County Well Field system. This interconnected approach enhances water distribution efficiency and ensures a reliable supply for the community, even in peak demand periods.
Maximizing Impact with Residual Funds
Residual funds were strategically invested in constructing 6.5 miles of 36-inch transmission pipeline, linking the 24th Street Pump Station to the Osage Water Treatment Plant. This addition amplifies the system’s ability to deliver groundwater, creating a resilient, future-proof solution for water distribution.
