Taxiway J & K2
Parkhill played a pivotal role in reconstructing Taxiways J, K1, K2, and constructing Taxiway J9 at El Paso International Airport (ELP). Through a carefully planned, three-phase approach, Parkhill minimized disruption to ELP’s primary runway, ensuring operations continued smoothly during peak summer travel. These upgrades not only modernized the taxiways but also improved the airport’s overall efficiency and safety, integrating airfield lighting, grading, and drainage systems.

Comprehensive Upgrade
Beyond the airfield improvements, the new facility offers a cutting-edge reception area with museum-quality learning installations, a large conference room, and flexible classroom spaces. Lab spaces were designed with insulated concrete forms to control moisture and reduce mechanical loads, ensuring the highest standards for ASTM lab conditions. These advancements support both the USDA and West Texas producers by delivering timely, accurate data.
Supporting the Future
With enhanced operational capacity and flexibility, this project positions ELP for long-term success. It also demonstrates Parkhill’s commitment to elevating aviation infrastructure while supporting the region’s broader agricultural and research needs.
