Texas Tech University – Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration
Parkhill has designed a new state-of-the-art academic building for Texas Tech University’s Jerry S. Rawls College of Business Administration. Spanning 146,300 square feet across three floors and a basement, this facility sets a new standard for learning environments with more than 20 multimedia-integrated classrooms, a 250-seat auditorium, and a dedicated Graduate Suite.

Designed for Interaction
Faculty offices, integrated into suites on the third floor, encourage collaboration and interaction, while spacious lounge areas and informal seating promote student engagement. Beyond the interior, the building boasts a multi-level outdoor courtyard with landscaped and covered seating, fostering both learning and relaxation. The design incorporates dining services and offers an environment where faculty, students, and staff can seamlessly interact in formal and informal settings.
A Green Future
In a groundbreaking move, the Rawls College of Business is the first building on the TTU campus designed to meet a Silver LEED certification. The project focuses on sustainability and includes strategies for maximizing indoor air quality, conserving water, retaining on-site water, and using recycled, regionally sourced materials. This project demonstrates that sustainable design can coexist with the timeless Spanish Renaissance architectural motifs that define the Texas Tech campus.
