Vinton Wastewater Design
PSC is transforming the Village of Vinton’s approach to wastewater management with the design and implementation of a first-time wastewater collection system. Until now, residents have relied on aging septic systems, posing health risks.

From Septic to Sanitation
Through funding support from the Texas Water Development Board and the Border Environmental Cooperation Commission, PSC developed a Preliminary Engineering Report and Environmental Assessment, mapping out the future of wastewater services for the area.
Navigating Complexities
The project’s first phase, set to break ground in 2018, includes 37,000 feet of wastewater collection line, a 0.85 MGD lift station, and 4,000 feet of force main. However, installing the new lines required careful navigation through a congested right-of-way along Texas Highway 20 and Vinton Road. PSC and TxDoT secured 57 land easements adjacent to these roadways, ensuring a smooth path for construction.

Building for the Future
Of the 57 required easements, 54 were obtained in just nine months, a testament to the collaboration between PSC, landowners, and local land acquisition experts. As Phase II moves into design, the same successful strategy ensures that Vinton is on track for a healthier, more sustainable future.
