Alyssa Vance, IIDA, has been selected as one of the Top 20 Under 40 by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. The Top 20 Under 40 recipients for 2022 were recognized at the annual banquet on August 25.

“I start each project with fresh eyes, fresh ideas, and thoughtful consideration of the client,” Alyssa said. “It’s important to me to have a full understanding of the project’s purpose and community impact before ever having a design thought. Design is not a one size fits all. I lead with my natural instinct, and my objectives always remain the same: every space needs to be maintainable, inviting, comfortable, and reflect the heart and soul of our client.”

Professional excellence is just one area Alyssa has been recognized for with the Top 20 Under 40 Award. The award also recognizes individuals who have brought value to the community both professionally and personally and who have displayed an overall commitment to Amarillo through community service.

Alyssa was born and raised in Amarillo and is married to Tyler Vance. They live in Canyon with their two sons and strive to set a positive example for their family. She takes pride in Amarillo and has been involved in the Class of 2020 Canyon and Amarillo Leadership. She is passionate about giving back to her community and has volunteered with Snack Pack for Kids and Maverick Boys and Girls Club.

Alyssa joined Parkhill in 2014 and has interior design expertise in a variety of fields, including healthcare, corporate, religious, and education markets, in addition to her higher education experience. She has extensive experience in furniture specifications and planning.

Alyssa has been called a champion of Design Excellence within Parkhill’s Interiors Studio for Interior Design awards submissions. She is also a member of the International Interior Design Association's Texas/Oklahoma Chapter. “I love living in Amarillo,” she said. “It’s where I was born and raised! I take great pride in working for owners who have the same wholesome West Texas values as Parkhill.”
