The Aluminum Dome is a landmark feature in the City of Borger. The original dome was constructed in 1957. After years of community events in the facility, the city asked Parkhill to design renovations to the iconic structure.
The dome project is over halfway to completion. The detailed custom ceiling framework inside the existing geodesic dome is slowly spider webbing its way across the interior.
You can really get a feel for the mass of the spaces and all of the light that will pour into the new multipurpose ballroom. The project also includes an addition to the central annex, which will serve as the new central entry point. This is a monumental project for the City of Borger, and they are excited seeing the progression.
