This year marks Parkhill’s 10th anniversary of the Building Community Investment (BCI) program. In honor of GivingTuesday on November 28, 2023, we are making charitable donations to local organizations dedicated to ending food insecurity, which affects nearly 5 million people across Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

A Culture of Giving

Giving and generosity are cornerstones for Building Community that benefits both the recipient and the giver. Through our Building Community Investment program—which includes pro bono services, charitable donations, and grants—more than $3 million has been raised to help more than 170 local community organizations.

Every year, our Parkhill employees spend more than 1000 hours (about 1 and a half months) volunteering at local charities—including soup kitchens, canned food drives, and fundraisers—to make a lasting positive impact in their own communities.

Why Giving is Good

These prosocial behaviors are not only good to help those in need, but they’re also good for the soul. Research indicates that people who participate in positive acts of service are happier, healthier, and generally more satisfied with life. These are all positive outcomes that make life better.

This year, Parkhill has partnered with local charities that are helping to end hunger in our communities. If you would like to make a difference in your community, please visit one of these deserving organizations that spend every day helping those in need.
