It is with a heavy heart that Parkhill announces the passing of Senior Associate, Paul McMillen, PE. Paul joined Parkhill in 1982 and served as Team Leader for the Storm Water Drainage Team in Parkhill’s Public Works Practice. He performed and directed engineering services for flood control, drainage, master drainage plans, FEMA-related letters of map revision, and the development of municipal drainage design manuals. He served the citizens of Lubbock and surrounding areas by designing civil works such as storm drainage pipelines and pump stations, and including a city-wide drainage project to relieve flooding in South Central, South and Northwest Lubbock and the Clardy Fox Pump Station in El Paso, among many others. His legacy as an engineer lives on through the many young engineers he personally trained while at Parkhill. Highly regarded as a trusted advisor by clients and colleagues, Paul was a great example of what being a Professional Engineer truly means.
Services for Paul will be Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 10 am at Monterey Church of Christ and viewing will be tonight at Lake Ridge Chapel & Memorial from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Lubbock.
