Jon Braudt Named TSPE Panhandle Chapter Engineer of the Year

The Panhandle Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers announced Parkhill Civil Engineer Jon Braudt, PE, as the 2024 Engineer of the Year. Jon demonstrates leadership in the engineering industry through his knowledge and experience, mentorship, and personal investment in his community.

"I’m humbled and excited to share that I was awarded Engineer of the Year by the Panhandle TSPE chapter," Jon said. "The first time I saw this award was hanging on the wall at my grandfather’s house. He played a big role in my journey to becoming a licensed engineer, and he won this award in 1989. Last week, he was able to celebrate his grandson winning the same award."

Jon demonstrates his professional leadership through his roles at Parkhill and in the knowledge he has obtained in over 10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering. He is a Senior Associate, a Civil Project Manager in Parkhill’s Transportation Practice, and works in our Amarillo Office. Jon has vast experience in foundation, steel, and stormwater drainage and several years of experience in completing land development and drainage studies for commercial and residential developments in the Texas Panhandle. He was also a pioneer in the foundational design for the first six Siemens SGT6-8000H combustion turbines to be built in the United States.

Jon personally invests in his community both professionally and personally. He is involved in his local chapter of TSPE and previously served as the chapter's president. Jon is also passionate about the future of engineering and volunteers by coaching Mathcounts teams and encouraging students' excitement about math and science.
