Architect Brandon Young Elected as Parkhill's First Design Director

For the first time in the firm's history, Parkhill has elected a Director of Design for the architectural division. Congratulations to Brandon Young, AIA, LEED AP, for being appointed to this new leadership role!
As Design Director, Brandon will spearhead Parkhill's efforts to shape organizational structure and culture to enhance design excellence and consistency in our architectural projects. This role aligns with the firm's 2024 Strategic Plan to “Elevate our knowledge and design capabilities through the creation of an organizational structure...” Brandon will be at the center of driving the exploration and crafting of this organizational structure.
“Brandon believes architecture reflects our values and is identified within a local context, informed by regional and increasingly global influences, and shaped by contemporary practice,” said Parkhill’s Vice President of Architecture Dan Hart, FAIA, PE.
Brandon has a total of 21 years of architecture experience. He has been at Parkhill for eight years, with six years as a Studio Leader in the Higher Education Team. He is also a firm principal. During his career, he has gained broad experience in project types spanning all markets at Parkhill, including the Abilene Christian University Science and Education Center in Abilene, Texas, and the Taylor County Expo Center Improvements in Abilene, Texas.
His passion for the architecture profession has also extended into the classroom and giving back to his community through education. For 14 years, he taught architecture and design in Abilene Christian University’s Department of Art & Design, earning tenure and promotion to Associate Professor.
