Parkhill has officially expanded its Oklahoma presence by acquiring CHAHTA Architecture, which is based in Oklahoma City. CHAHTA Architecture has a long-standing tradition of delivering excellence, and this new chapter marks a significant step forward in Parkhill’s commitment to building community and fostering growth across the state.
“CHAHTA Architecture has long been dedicated to offering holistic architectural services that focus on creating spaces that serve both practical and cultural needs in multiple areas of Oklahoma, including in the K-12, healthcare, and municipal markets,” Parkhill’s Senior Vice President Scott Nelson said. “We are excited to bring their shared vision of building up local communities and providing sustainable solutions that will help us better serve more communities across Oklahoma.”
CHAHTA Architecture brings a talented team with more than 84 years of combined experience in architectural design, program management, master planning, and contract administration experience. With this acquisition, Parkhill gains a team that has worked on a variety of meaningful projects in multiple areas of focus, such as K-12 education, healthcare, higher education, and multifamily housing.
Expanding Knowledge and Design
Some of CHAHTA’s standout work includes the Chickasaw Children’s Village in Kingston, OK; The Jones Academy in Hartshorne, OK; and Atoka Head Start in Atoka, OK. These projects have truly made a difference in their communities, and it is this mindset that aligns perfectly with Parkhill’s dedication to designing spaces that serve the greater good.
All members of CHAHTA Architecture’s talented staff will be joining Parkhill’s Oklahoma City office, ensuring a seamless transition. By combining forces, Parkhill and CHAHTA collectively share a passion for creating innovative, energy-efficient, and sustainable designs that exceed expectations.
“The CHAHTA staff is excited to make the transition to Parkhill,” said CHAHTA’s Principal Architect and Director of Design Gary Clark, NCARB, AIA. “We look forward to expanding the services we passionately provide to the Oklahoma Native American communities we've served for many years, while also reaching and supporting many more communities as we continue to grow.”
This acquisition is not just about growth but also staying true to the mission of Building Community.
