Parkhill Honors Career of Kyle Womack, PE, With Conference Room Dedication

Parkhill’s Board of Directors recently celebrated the dedication of the Kyle Womack Conference Room in its Midland office in honor of Kyle Womack, PE. A dedication ceremony followed the announcement to commemorate the honor. 

Throughout his distinguished career that spans 40 years with Parkhill, Kyle has served in various capacities, including as office manager, principal, board member, and vice president. He has been a trailblazer within the firm and in the Permian Basin community. A native of Odessa, Texas, Kyle graduated from Permian High School in 1971 before attending Texas Tech University and graduated in 1975 with a degree in civil engineering. 

In 1979, Kyle was instrumental in establishing Parkhill’s Midland location. He served as the office manager for 30 years and on Parkhill’s Board of Directors for 27 years. His contributions have been key to growing the firm in many areas, including business development, strategic planning, career development, leadership development, and organizational structure. 

Many of the projects he has worked on are associated with crucial infrastructure developments that helped make the Permian Basin what it is today. These efforts included airport, highway, municipal comprehensive planning, downtown, and even private development master planning and design. He served as the Principal-in-Charge on some of Parkhill’s largest and most notable projects, including a new terminal at Midland International Air & Space Port and the multipurpose Scharbauer Sports Complex.

Kyle has been incredibly involved in local civic activities and volunteerism during his life. He was a founding member of the Midland Odessa Transportation Alliance (MOTRAN) and served as President of the Midland Chamber of Commerce. In 2013, he was appointed to the Texas Board of Professional Engineers by former Texas Governor Rick Perry and was named Texas Engineer of the Year by the Texas Society of Engineers in 2022, where he was also named Fellow.

Kyle retired from Parkhill in 2019 but has remained a constant advocate for Parkhill’s Building Community Investment, which aims to improve lives through the power of giving. His contributions throughout the years have been instrumental in shaping the firm and the Midland and Odessa communities.
