The Regional Hispanic Contractors Association (RHCA) held their annual El Paso Luna Awards Luncheon on Friday, October 27, 2023, at The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park in El Paso, Texas, to honor and celebrate the many accomplishments women have made in architecture, engineering, and construction.

Parkhill’s Mary Stills, AIA, received the Woman of the Year A/E/C Award, which recognizes women who play pivotal role within their company’s mission and success. Mary was among six other women who were nominated for the Woman of the Year Award.

“I was delighted to be nominated alongside many amazing women in the El Paso A/E/C industry,” Mary said. “Being recognized with this Luna Award for Woman of the Year is very meaningful to me. I love being an architect, but I also have a passion for helping people and my community.”

Mary is a strong advocate for encouraging women to follow their own passions, even in professions that aren’t yet viewed as traditional. She hopes this award will serve as an example of what women can accomplish in the A/E/C industry.

“Thank you, RHCA, for acknowledging and celebrating women for their contributions to the built environment and for honoring me with this award,” she continued. “Thank you, Parkhill, for the opportunities, trust, and support you have given me throughout the years.”

Mary accepted the award in front of friends, family, and colleagues. City of El Paso officials were also in attendance, including Representatives Art Fierro and Alexsandra Annello.

Established in 1995, the RHCA was formed to support and promote the advancement and economic growth of Hispanic contractors, architects, and engineers in Texas.

Parkhill congratulates Mary on this honorable accomplishment and for being a champion to all women in the A/E/C industry.
