MISD Breaks Ground on New Elementary School

Midland ISD recently broke ground on a 92,500-square-foot elementary school in the Lone Star Trails subdivision. The new facility will accommodate up to 830 students and will open in August 2025. Parkhill was chosen to provide architecture and engineering services, and construction will begin immediately.
The school's look will be similar to Yarbrough and Fasken Elementary Schools, which were also designed by Parkhill. In collaboration with teachers and staff, the school’s design will enhance functionality and efficiency.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by MISD executive leadership staff, Board of Trustees, representatives from Parkhill, and MW Builders, and prospective students.
