Parkhill Recognizes Firm Leaders as New Associates

Parkhill is pleased to announce the promotion of 13 new Associates: Cole Bond, PE, Amber Buscarello, AIA, Ashley Coco, AIA, Nick Cooper, Zach Garrett, PE, Kelly Knowles, Tyler Krueger, PE, Kim LaBree, PE, Bo Li, CPA, Henry Parker, RLA, Gary Smith, Joey Vasquez, and Jen Williams. SHRM-SCP, SPHR. Each of the new #Associates has demonstrated an ongoing ability to bring value to the firm. They continually seek to Build Community while promoting successful projects for our clients.
Cole Bond, PE, is a Team Leader for Water Resources in Woodward, Oklahoma. Cole started his career at Parkhill in the Aviation Practice and has worked on a range of aviation, transportation, commercial, and residential projects. In 22 years of experience, he has grown as a firm leader and Team Leader for his team.
Amber Buscarello, AIA, is an architect for Higher Education and works in our Amarillo office. In her 10 years of experience, Amber has been instrumental in developing a prototypical equipment schedule and has become the go-to programmer for Higher Education projects. She specializes in pre-design programming, master planning, and laboratory design. Amber is also the president-elect for the American Institute of Architects Amarillo Chapter.
Ashley Coco, AIA, is a Senior Architectural Project Manager in Midland for the Community Practice. For 20 of his 27 years of experience, Ashley started and led his own architecture firm. Since joining Parkhill, he has added tremendous value to projects small and large, including an early childhood facility on the Midland College Campus and a new Utility Department Facility for the City of Midland. Ashley’s experience and passion led him to serve as the president of his local AIA chapter.
Nick Cooper is our Faith-Based Practice Leader for the Community Practice. He is based in the Frisco office. In response to Parkhill’s growing relationships with faith-based clients, Nick recently took on this new role to develop strategies and overall direction for our teams and clients. During his four years with Parkhill, Nick has become an industry leader in implementing Integrated project delivery, an innovative project delivery approach that builds partnerships between the owner, architect, and contractor. Nick spent over 15 years in vocational ministry prior to joining Parkhill. This experience, along with his background in construction, uniquely positions Nick with opportunities to become a trusted advisor to our clients.
Zach Garrett, PE, is a Structural Engineer for the MEP-Structural Team in Amarillo. In close to 10 years, Zach has worked across many practices to provide expert design services utilizing multiple materials such as steel, concrete, masonry, light gage framing, and wood. He’s mentored local high school STEM programs, and has served as a practitioner advisor for the Texas Tech American Society of Civil Engineers student chapter.
Kelly Knowles is a Project Professional for K-12 Education in Lubbock. Kelly has 42 years of experience within the industry as an expert in the production of construction documents and construction administration. He’s also a passionate advocate for building detailing and Revit modeling best practices. Kelly’s knowledge, attention to detail, and resourceful problem-solving skills have allowed him to successfully complete numerous large construction projects for Parkhill. At University of Parkhill 2021, Parkhill honored Kelly for his construction administration services for Buddy Holly Hall. His presence on the job site throughout the construction phase was instrumental in the success of this complex and unique Lubbock community project.
Tyler Krueger, PE, is a Project Manager in Lubbock for the Environmental Team. For over eight years, Tyler has become a trusted advisor for many of our clients, contributing greatly to the growth of our relationships in the Lubbock area. His expertise includes engineering design and municipal solid waste construction and permitting. He also served as the chair of the South Plains COG Solid Waste Advisory Committee and is a past president of the Texas Public Works Association South Plains Branch.
Kim LaBree, PE, is a civil engineer in El Paso for our Water Resources Practice. She’s passionate about making clean drinking water available to people in need and, for 10 years, has specialized in funding processes to make that resource a reality for over 77 miles of pipeline. In 2020, the Texas Society of Professional Engineers El Paso Chapter named Kim Young Engineer of the Year. Kim is also passionate about organizing office events that connect local employees.
Bo Li, CPA, is our Controller for Accounting in Lubbock. With more than 25 years of experience in a variety of industries, from oil and gas to wholesale distribution, Bo’s holistic expertise and project management skills have proven crucial to accomplishing many of the Accounting department’s initiatives. Parkhill recognized Bo’s outstanding work building functional accounting teams and improving accounting processes with Parkhill's 2021 Organizational Management Award.
Henry Parker, RLA, is a member of the Landscape Architecture Practice and is based in Arlington. For over 20 years, Henry has demonstrated creativity and design excellence in his service to clients. His strong record of successful parks and recreational designs demonstrates his commitment and ability to develop inventive and relevant solutions for our clients that celebrate a sense of community and honor the existing environment.
Gary Smith is our Creative Technology Manager for the Survey Team in Norman, Oklahoma. Having managed and designed hardware and software systems for environmental, civil, and surveying projects for over 30 years, Gary is a trusted advisor and resource for implementing critical technologies into our day-to-day practice. His expertise with GIS planning and implementation, database design, and custom application development uniquely equip Gary to lead Parkhill in curating creative ideas into innovative solutions.
Joey Vasquez is an Engineering Technologist with the Water Resources Team and works in the Lubbock office. Joining Parkhill in 1979, Joey has been with our firm for 43 years. He was one of our first pioneers to integrate CADD systems and has produced plans for projects ranging from small street seal coats to large-scale water transmission and wastewater treatment plant projects. Joey also has been instrumental in developing and maintaining an extensive library of CADD details and standards.
Jen Williams, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, is our Director of Human Resources in Lubbock. In 16 years, Jen has connected over 1,050 Parkhillers with jobs that ignite and excite their passions. Parkhill recognized her enthusiasm for developing enduring relationships in 2022 with our Client Relations Award.
