Melissa ISD Kicks Off Season with State-of-the-Art Sports and Learning Facilities

The Melissa Cardinals earned a victory during their first game at their new Coach Kenny Deel Stadium with a final score of 50-14 against the Argyle Eagles.
Fully functional press, broadcasting, and a/v production areas were designed with the intended goal for students to work and manage live events such as a football game broadcast.
The 112-seat film room in the Melissa Championship Center, akin to a college lecture hall, also converts into two separate learning areas.
The 10,000-seat Coach Kenny Deel Stadium was named for long-time Melissa ISD coach, Kenny Deel.
With the completion of the Coach Kenny Deel Stadium and multifunctional Melissa Championship Center, there are both athletic and educational opportunities for every Cardinal student.
