Watonga Republican: Watonga to Reconstruct Airport with Federal Grant

WATONGA, Oklahoma — The Watonga Regional Airport will be closed for several months this winter while its runway will be reconstructed with funds from a federal grant. Parkhill will provide professional services during construction.
Toby Baker, with the architectural and engineering firm Parkhill, said the airport will be closed for about 4 to 6 months.
"It just depends on the weather," he said, "If we have a dry winter, and we can get the subgrade done easily then the paving is a little easier to do."
